Chromedome was just trying to pet the lion, who fiercely batted his hand away, as he heard something and looked up.
Looking around, he found that there was no one around, even though he could have had sworn that he just heard Rewind.

Having gotten suspicious, he awkwardly crawled out of the lion cage, tripping over the grid.

“Rewind? Are you here somewhere?” he walked around, until he saw his friend  covered by, his dictionary told him, penguins.

“Rewind, how did you get in there?”

Rewind’s head perked when he heard the familiar sound of Chromedome’s voice and when the other came into view Rewind shot up, accidentally knocking over one of the penguins that had decided to perch on his knee.

“Chromedome!”

In a matter of seconds the cassette had waded through the water and scaled the wall, he tackled Chromedome wrapping his arms around the taller bot, burying his face against the other’s waist.

“You’re alright! You’re here!”

Chromedome is a little startled at Rewinds reaction. He can’t help chuckling a little and puts a hand on Rewinds shoulder, “Yes, I’m here. have you missed me that much after,” he checks his chronometer ”15 kliks?”.

Rewind gave a small laugh, still holding onto Chromedome as if he expected another tear to pop up and take his friend away.

“15 kliks is enough time for you to get your aft in trouble,” He teased, nudging Chromedome’s arm with his elbow, “And what would you do without me to save your sorry hide-“

Without warning Rewind’s entire frame seized up and he pulled away from Chromedome with a pained hiss.

An intense pain rocked through his frame. The pain of Eject’s forced removal from the Lost Light’s security system leaking though their twin bond.

“I think…” Rewind winced as the throbbing sting in his processor began to numb, “My brother just decided to join us…”

Chromedome was momentarily shocked as Rewind was seized by pain.

“Rewind, are you okay? Was that- does that mean your brother is in pain too? Is he in danger? Can you tell where he is, exactly?”
